Healthy Eating: 90/10 Approach

Changing your diet can be so daunting. We are so acculturated to eating what our friends and family eat when we are all together and making change in the face of that can be hard. Sometimes you are just not ready to face the challenge of why you won’t just eat the pizza with everyone else while you make a different choice, and that is why I believe in taking on a 90/10 approach. Where 90% of the time you make wise eating choices and go on and let yourself enjoy something that’s “off your diet” 10% of the time. I hesitate to even use the word diet, as it becomes a lifestyle more than a diet. As you learn what makes you feel your best, the more you want to do it. You don’t have to be restrictive, and see food as something to battle, it is instead your partner to feeling well.
